So looking at the state of Maryland, I grew up and teach in Washington County. I now live in PA (right over the Maryland line), but I still consider myself to be a Marylander at heart:)
Ok, so one of my favorite things about Maryland is how close it is to the beach. From the county I teach in and used to live, it's only about a 4 hour drive. And ONE of the biggest reasons I love the beach is for the seafood---although you don't have to go to the beach to enjoy it. Nothing beats Ocean City in the summer with some freshly steamed crabs.....that's why I love Maryland!!
Of course there are so many other fabulous things about Maryland, crabs just tops my list! I also love that you can really experience the four seasons. I love the history that is just a car ride away. In my school, our intermediate grades visit the Antietam Battle field or Annapolis every year.
Alright, make sure to hop on and read why the next blogger LOVES Maryland!!
Hi Melanie! I don't think you're a true Marylander unless you love our crabs! If you head to OC next summer, let me know. I live here! Kim
